Quick Ab Routine for when you're tight on time

Updated: Sep 25

Abs do not need to be hit in a big 15-20 minute routine, I've always found that 5-10 minutes is best. Back when I worked in larger commercial gyms, they would always host these 45minute "AB WORKOUTS" which would get packed...And deliver zero results!

Why? Because once the Abs are tired, they're done and it is time to move on. You're form will get sloppy and the results will hit a wall. Now if you've ever trained with me as a full team and we hit a big Ab routine at the end, yeah it probably went over 15 minutes. Why? I was brutally torturing the team to show them how far they can go while also just having fun watching a room of teenagers in pain.

All that being said, here is a fast and effective routine that can be done anywhere.

ONE BIG SUPERSET

6 Inches for 20 seconds

20 Leg Raises

20 flutter kicks per leg

20 Sit ups

repeat but now take the 6 inches to 30 seconds on the 2nd set, 40 seconds on the 3rd set, 50 on the 4th set, and finally 60 full seconds on the last set.

This should have you completely spent.

Recommended Equipment

Ab Mat
